some 2014 sessions
6/7/13: 6:05AM - Simpler times. Even a cropped photo of the Wynn dealer button brings back fond memories. Lots of good times in the old Wynn poker room.
1/3NL 5h35m +$767
4/28/14: 1:05AM - Good old nighttime games. Everyone's drinking and the average age is 30. No phones at the table. I remember this one. I think the hot blonde girl's name is Kristy. We were chatting about movie trivia and also a little music. She randomly rapped "I'm taking it back to the old school, cause I'm an old fool, who's so cool." It took me a minute to realize where that was from (Tag Teams's "Whoomp There It Is!"). I was a little surprised because she was probably 27, tops. I laughed and we continued the back and forth conversation. The dealer Rya wasn't the best mechanically, but she was always bubbly and flirty, which resulted in lots of tips from male players. Previously worked at Hawaiian Gardens in Los Angeles.
1/3NL 7h5m +$890
9/2/14: 1:40PM - OMC's on their devices. Weird how the older crowd seemed to be on their phones more than their younger counterparts back then, just watching the time go by. Cash was still in play, and there was no shortage of short stacks at the table. Old $100 bills, orange juice, bottles of water, and an abundance of golf shirts doesn't really make for an exciting game. A short stack hit runner runner Royal Flush at the river. That's good, but at the same time sucks, as he did get paid off. I'm in the 9 seat, my favorite.
1/3NL 2h5m -$19
10/8/14: 10:05PM - Probably was a fun game as I stayed a little longer than I usually do (eight hours), and it was late. 9 seat.
1/3NL 8h25m +$497
10/25/14: 6PM - Older Asian guy, maybe mid-50's was a regular donator for years. Normally bought in $200-300 if I recall correctly. I probably got bored and moved to a more exciting 2/5NL game, which apparently ended with a good result (3h20m +$1697).
1/3NL 4h40m -$23
10/27/14: 5:15PM - Beautiful view of the Wynn and my old Acura 3.2CL-S. Game-wise, probably not that exciting. 2/5NL was a better result (3h40m +$672). The younger guy was a semi-solid player and always sat deep, but seemed to disappear a few years later. The Asian guy was action I think. I didn't think much of it at the time, but having a Ferrari showroom right across from poker was a cool flex.
1/3NL 3h -$47
11/5/14: 1025AM - Enjoyed some Britney via Bluetooth on my Galaxy Note 3 on the way to the office. Saw a couple of nice tuner boy cars. Looks like this was the first session in this journal that I actually reloaded (1k total), so at one point I was down at least $500. Nice recovery after whatever happened and sometimes these sessions feel like a winner, even after losing a little. You would think the younger guy got me, but chances are I got stacked by one of the old geezers here (somehow that always happens). Looked like a good game and they might've been up all night.
1/3NL 6h5m -$53
11/14/14: 850AM - Not sure how I got in this early. Probably a standard game. Kannika is pretty cool, seen her around the past few years.
2/5NL 5h30m +$302
1/2NL 4h55m +$21
12/22/14: 135AM - Lots of red chips are usually good, regardless of buy-in. The Asian girl was probably active. When they're action, they're really action. Not sure who I was hanging out with, but made my way to South Point and enjoyed a nice burger at 5AM.
2/5NL 2h15m +$977
12/31/14: 550PM - A short session before NYE countdown. Not really sure why I left Wynn earlier (1/3NL: 4h40m +$2192). Maybe I wanted to leave the Strip before they locked it up, and didn't really feel this game so I went home. Orleans 1/3NL 2h10m -$74
2014: 939h55m +$31,960.50
